“Oggi come ieri” nasce da un’esigenza profonda: raccontare una quotidianità radicata in un piccolo paese, Canale Monterano, dove il tempo sembra essersi fermato, ma in realtà è ancora vivo e vibrante.
Negli anni ho costruito uno sguardo attento verso quelle vite che si muovono in equilibrio tra rituali antichi e urgenze quotidiane, dove ogni gesto ripetuto è memoria e presenza insieme.

L’obiettivo si posa su gesti ripetuti, ma mai banali, che raccontano la forza di una bellezza che non chiede di essere vista, ma riconosciuta.
Queste fotografie non si limitano a documentare, ma si propongono di svelare l’intimità di chi vive questi luoghi, celebrando la propria quotidianità con dignità e serenità, lontano dal frastuono del mondo moderno.

Tuttavia, c'è anche un altro aspetto che il progetto vuole indagare: le fragilità e i cambiamenti che minacciano l’identità e la memoria storica delle aree rurali. Con il mio lavoro cerco di esplorare anche la tensione tra la tradizione e il progresso, il valore di ciò che si sta perdendo, e la necessità di custodire e proteggere quei piccoli atti quotidiani che danno senso e significato alla vita.

“Oggi come ieri” non è solo un racconto visivo della tradizione, ma un invito a riflettere sul valore dei piccoli gesti che, se osservati con attenzione, possono rivelare la grandezza e la complessità della nostra esistenza

"Today Like Yesterday" was born from a profound need: to recount the daily life rooted in a small town, Canale Monterano, where time seems to have stood still, yet is actually still alive and vibrant.
Over the years, I have developed a keen eye for those lives that balance ancient rituals and daily urgencies, where every repeated gesture is both memory and presence.

The lens focuses on gestures that are repetitive, yet never banal, and that reveal the power of a beauty that demands to be recognized rather than seen.
These photographs do not merely document, but also reveal the intimacy of those who live in these places, celebrating their daily lives with dignity and serenity, far from the din of the modern world.

However, there is also another aspect that the project seeks to explore: the fragilities and changes that threaten the identity and historical memory of rural areas. With my work I also try to explore the tension between tradition and progress, the value of what is being lost, and the need to preserve and protect those small daily actions that give meaning and purpose to life.

"Today Like Yesterday" is not just a visual narrative of tradition, but an invitation to reflect on the value of small gestures that, if observed carefully, can reveal the grandeur and complexity of our existence.
